Play Half Life: Alyx without Virtual Reality Gear

Found a video on how to play Half Life: Alyx without needing a Virtual Reality headset. Since my rig isn't powerful enough to handle it anyways, I can't do much with it. I wanted to share it with the community.

It seems to be very buggy still, since the game is supposed to be played with VR. Without it, it looks like Half Life 2. But for anyone who really wants to play the new installment without having to save for months, you can try - but please don't raise your expectations. Hopefully some will find this useful. For the best experience, it's a good idea to save for a headset though, and I think it's worth it also.

Apparently it seems to work according to guys in the comments - but as with any new things, I'd proceed with caution.

Tbh it‘s more worth it to buy a VR headset, because

1. The game will be just... okay without the VR experience
2. It‘s unplayable in it‘s current state

Exactly - it's a long time investment anyways. Modders will definetly come, but it'll take some time + VR truly changes everything.
