Minor thing I noted off of the region map - this is probably where the forest we see in the trailer connects to and given the mushrooms and pink stadium will likely be filled with fairy types. Sorta reminds me of Laverre from X/Y.

gen 9 set in america, introducing the patriot type, comes with the ability to oneshot anything by taking out a .357 and shooting the rival pokemon, has a 70 percent chance to gain trait 'diabetes', which takes 5 hp per move

either way this direct has made me loose most of my interest, some of the areas look way to open with not enough detail or any defining features (such as wide ass field areas which look almost like they're from botw) despite some of the more confined areas looking cool

gen 5 was the last good pokemon generation anyway, kinda sucks that pokemon is going in this direction (co-op raid battles from pkmn go, more useless battle features, big open world areas)

The way they've said it, you'll gradually be able to access more of the 'wild area' as the game progresses - whether through other routes, HM's, items, etc. So you'll constantly be cutting back and forth in specific areas. Its a "large area" but actually rather small until the very end game.

Honestly though, I really liked this direct. Digging the new designs, the overworld catching from Lets Go, etc.

Like not every new game needs a special thing like the super-evolution things (I hated those) buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

I hope shiny is pastel pink, pastel blue or pastel purple, but it'll probably be black.
