When we were kids we were taught to look up at the clouds and use our imagination to dream. Our parents told us that every cloud is unique and different from the rest, they tell us to look up and to dream and imagine.

As adults we very often stop looking at the beauty and majesty of the sky and clouds. Life becomes complicated and busy, often times it overwhelms us and we don’t know how to react but the answer is simple. We should make like the children and just take deep breaths and look up at the sky.

In the African nation of Botswana they have a proverb, “Children talk with God.”
Perhaps this is why children seem to simply glide through life’s difficulties.

Is it not a wise decision to lay down all our worries and doubts in the open so that they are bare, that way we can resolve them easier than if we keep it hidden. Too many people bottle up their emotions and worries, this can only lead to sorrow.

The South-African band, The Parlotones have a song titled ‘Remember when’
The song depicts the life of a child and the nostalgia we all have for those better days of our youth. In the song it speaks of how we used to help each other as children.

We often live selfish existences where we do not care for our fellow man, the reasons for this selfishness may vary but the result stays the same. The result is that pain and sorrow occurs.

So is it not better that we all become children again, and look up and the sky and realize that we are in this world together. Let us all be like wishfull children and help each other on this journey we call life.
