From what I've read, why would Putin want more power for PM and parliament? So he could become PM after stepping down from president?

Long live the Tsar, Long live the Putin family.

I wonder how much of the benevolent Tsar myth still exists in Russia.

i reckon this is him transitioning to 'head of the state council' and prime minister - which will allow him to serve indefinitely

he won't be serving indefintely, he's coming up to the age when you have to resign by law - that might change if whoever's gonna be his successor will be performing unsatisfactorily in his eyes

think of him just assuming an advisory role post-2024 and 'guiding' whoever's gonna be next so they won't destroy his work

The rampant anti-LGBT narrative that Russia's government and Putin himself enforces? It'd be nice to imagine once Putin's gone people are more free to accept social change and allow people to just live their lives without fear of imprisonment.

Out of all the problems with and in Russia I don't know if LGBT rights are at the top of the list
