Reference Photo - Aarhus, Midtjylland Denmark.
Introducing my most recent project; A fully playable event-oriented Scandinavian city map, featuring 24 enterable locations/buildings located within the map perimeters.

Located in the small Scandinavian country Denmark, the map will be based on the Danish city Aarhus, Midtjylland. Reconstructed into an urban residential city during the aftermath of the 7-hour war. Emphasizing a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial facilities for inhabitants to utilize.



Although still in development, the map will feature an elaborate three-dimensional skybox, a large plaza-area in the middle of the city, plenty of storefront locations, residential buildings, a reconstructed police-station utilized by overwatch forces, an old and decaying museum, the danish royal theater utilized by Universal Union factions, part of the city harbor, as well as a towering cathedral located in the city center, occupied by overwatch forces- as well as the Civil Authority Board.

While it's not my first map project, nothing has come close to being quite so ambitious. I'll be looking forward to sharing my progress, and also test my mapping capabilities.

Reconstructed Police Station (Overwatch Forces)
This danish police station has been reconstructed into an overwatch compound. It's utilized as a base of operations, holding cell, and canteen for Civil Protection units to do recreational stuff in. (not erp plz)

  • Finished creating solids (except holding cells)
  • Finished interior and exterior texturing
  • Placed decals and entities (more to be added)
  • Needs lightingNeeds holding cell installed
  • Need dynamic effects such as city-wide alarms and announcements installed.



QUESTION!: Should both or either of the buildings be flipped so that the main entrance faces towards the CAB cathedral?

Back from a small break during the holidays. I've started working on the interiors for the Police Station, as well as the CAB Cathedral.

Cathedral
  • Added some exterior combine raisings
  • Started working on interior combine raisings: Watchtower concept tried out, works fine in my opinion.
  • Added elevator up to the watchtower platform.
