I keep getting this whenever I play, note the steam overlay UNDER the esc menu and the cloned cursor on the top. I can't even PLAY because of this and I just bought the game.

Would probably bring this to the Steam forums instead, I don't sense many Skyrim nerds in this community lol

Try verifying your Skyrim game files from your Steam library it may work after that.

Are you trying this at the very start? It seems like it. Try it after some time in-game, unless whenever you press ESC that happens.

I can't start the game, as soon as I begin the mouse begins leaving a trail wherever I move it, starting a new game will leave me at "SKYRIM" stuck on my screen, but still have sounds play.

Full screen. Eitherway it's still the same

Already done that.

I've already refunded the game, I have a feeling it's because of my specs

Shouldn't have refunded the game TBH.

I had to disable Windows Aero when I played the game on Win7 (the original) and had this issue.
Also don't alt-tab.
Or played in windowed, full-windowed.
