So, this is the question:
How much time do you give HL2RP? How long will it survive?
In general, there has been a decline in other servers, and essentally, there are only Neb, and some non-english servers. T&B even seemed to have closed their own long running server not long ago. It's likely that this decline has to do with the oldness of Gmod in general, and the gamemode more specifically.
On Neb, this decline wasn't noticed as of yet, thanksfully, and the server is still going very strong.
But, all good things come to an end, and it's likely that at some point, even Neb will shut down it's HL2RP server, hopefully to continue in other venues, maybe not even on Gmod.

So, what do you guys think? If you had to guess, how much time in years (or months for the pessimistic) will you give Nebulous' HL2RP server, or the gamemod in general?

Few years at least except if they is another "event" that causes the server to breakdown.

10 years max... maybe more.

It's possible, I got high hopes some people still want to RP HL2. And the Borealis Project should have HL3 or HL2:EP2, whatever it is, done if they plan to finish it.

Which in turn should bring back a huge mass of players especially if GMod 2 comes around.
