Out today for every fan of TW like me
i expected to cringe at recasted superman for geralt but henry cavill does a pretty good job
fist two episodes didn't disappoint so far, give it a watch if youre having doubts doubts like i did
Its pretty solid actually on ep 2 rn
me after 2 episodes
(i'd recommend seeing the first 4 episodes before opening spoilers)
decent fighting, cinematography and music.
i absolutely fucking hate the diversity-focused casting.
For example the black knight in Cintra, black dryads and elves, the alderman of Bleviken completely omitted in favour of letting his 12-year old daughter take the reins in a scene
diversity isn't an issue with me - where appropriate, but knowing source material - it's an annoyance in the back of my head whilst watching it.
and that kind of lingers around, instead of letting me just enjoy the content without some squadW thoughts, like
the scene with Yennefer pondering about the role of women on the beach after the successful assassination of Queen Kalis of Lyria and her daughter -- ultimately making me think if the dramatic monologue is necessary or just a statement intended to appease people by recognising these flaws in society to address feminism of today
the plot moves too fast as well, if you ask me. despite being focused on the short stories by Sapkowski, I'd say the first episode could've been the first season; by establishing context for non-book/game fans
and making the fall of Cintra a longer, more detailed arc.
nonetheless, i think it's worth checking out, it's quite good but i hope they improve on season 2.
Because I know you all loved this song
is it any good doe?
Yes if you don't consider Triss as Triss. Combats are really kino by the way.
idk what that means im sorry can you explain? ive never played the witcher. so i guess my follow up question is, do i need to play the witcher to understand whats going on?
And now you don't need it at all. But it will spoil you the game for sure.
Yen > Triss
witcher is just one of those things where forced diversity doesnt work
triss and yennefer look like shit
the rest looks p decent ngl
yen is pretty close to her appearance
still tho, triss looks nothing the one in game
Just watched Episode 1 finally, really well done imo.
Watched the first two episodes and its quite a good show if I am honest.
When it was announced Henry is gonna play Geralt, I thought it'll be shit but he did a good job
