If Trump refuses to accept the election results and says they're rigged, I wonder how the Nebulous Trump people will defend that

I bet they're already coming up with excuses to justify the behaviour

my biggest question is why biden would go out and say that he wants to ban the online sale of weapons in the US

as much as people make fun of it guns are such an ingrained part of americans culture that restricting it at all seems extremely risky even for democrats

capitalisation on things like mass shootings, promises of stability and lowering crime even though FBI statistics point to guns lowering crime rates haha

a lot of liberals would probably agree with it, but it's a retard move when you consider the consequences of such a thing, waco 2.0

trump won in 2016 against all odds and had plenty of people, even trump voters themselves, skeptical to vote for him because of the pure amount of shit that was thrown at him. plenty of people leaning towards trump sat on the kerb and didn't trust him with their vote

in the four years since he hasn't done anything that will defer his own voterbase from voting for him again and has gained plenty more supporters from all sorts of communities. combine that with his opposing candidate being a back-and-forth bumbling clown and his running mate having all the charm of a rotting teddybear by a gravesite and you'd have to be a major fucking smoothbrain to think there's any real opposition

There's already been plenty of cases where mail-in ballots have been left on the side of the road and forgotten about among other things which I see as a big problem. No matter who wins I'm going to have some doubt that the election was done properly and that everyone's vote was counted

Why do we keep pretending popular support is a necessity for the presidential office? This election is going to be decided by legal precedence from the judicial powers of the united states, not by party electors or by "the people"

there's no "We the People", there's "We the Courts". The legal power over the constitution (which in turn has the greatest influence over all other branches of state) is long since removed from the hands of the people, and there's no reason to expect the people to decide what is by proxy questions to be decided on by the institution that holds interpretative influence over the legally binding document that dictates the terms of the representative and executive.

In a bloated federal state lorded over by constitutional precedence, the faceless legal bureaucracy is the de-facto ruler of the nation
