if the argument about businesses closing is because there will be no EU subsidiaries to help them or whatever it will have the opposite effect. we put, say, 1 billion into the EU as our membership fee yearly, and the EU gives us back a percentage - £400million/40%, for example. We get back less money than we put in. When we don't give this money to the EU anymore we aren't getting 40% of what we put in, we're getting 100. ergo, more money, more to dish out to help business and to generally spend on public services and infrastructure

they won't become harder to obtain, generic drugs like paracetamol might go 20p dearer to import which can be easily covered by the money we'll save by not being in the EU

this whole argument about drugs being more expensive, the nhs being sold and there being shortages of medicine is a fallacy perfectly designed to strike fear in people because every single person is reliant on healthcare, regardless of who you are or what your job is.

this argument spawned from the 'nhs for sale' documents that, in reality, were documents that merely stated america would bid against europe to sell us common drugs such as paracetamol/insulin. in other words, europe wants to sell us that insulin for £1.50, america will give it to us for £1.30 so we'll buy it off them instead. literally all it was, but it was twisted because people tend to just read and believe headlines rather than do their own digging

On top of this I believe I read somewhere the government already pledged to meet the funding the EU was giving to businesses.

I don’t think anyone can truly predict how this is gonna pan out, I think that the truth lies somewhere between the scaremongers and optimists. Naturally, as a Brit, I’d like to see us do well, even if I did vote to stay.

People tend to seriously exaggerate how difficult it is to travel abroad for holidays when there isn't free movement. It's not that difficult at all. We've been going abroad to different countries for years and yes they require visas but it's not so much of a hassle that it would be defined as difficult. We've never noticed it be more annoying to travel to America than France in terms of customs.

for someone outside the country having easy travel without visas benefits me in terms of things like business, education and political trips as well as long distance relationships

yes it wont make it "difficult" in the overall sense but its a damn lot more annoying (and expensive) than previously which is why im upset

I think this post just sums up you haven't ever listened to anyone with an opposing view and actually understood what they're saying.

"brown people good white people bad"

it has nothing to do with race or nationality

some immigrants come here and do fuck all and some come here and work their arses off

some uk citizens do fuck all and some work their arses off

the notion you are putting forward is outdated and boring
