I don't know what seems to be the cause of this. I've reinstalled M9K and that didn't appear to fix anything so it'd be great if someone could offer me a solution.

The cause is you trying to enter the m9kgaseffect command (possibly got it in a cfg file) wile it doesn't exist on the server because m9k isn't included in the server's addons. Reinstalling M9 has no effect on it.

It won't help. It appears because you have a autoexec that tries to disable m9kgasseffect to increase performance and the server doesn't have m9k so it comes up as an error. You can find the autoexec in the cfg folder in GarrysMod\garrysmod\cfg
