If anything happens, just stop it with a logical paradox!

the only case where I'd see a combat-purpose AI smart enough to turn on it's masters is maybe space combat where a single mathematical error means life or death

maybe these ships are so expensive that the AI is hardcoded to preserve the ship through any means necessary

Here are some of my predictions:
    • Manned mission to mars, however I doubt we'll see a full on colony in our lifetime.
    • EU disbands.
    • Right wing leaders elected all over Europe, illegal immigrants are sent home.
    • Full on racial civil war in South Africa.
    • Putin is eventually replaced at last, however, Russia stays deeply corrupt and only begins slowly moving towards reform.
    • Large war in the middle east between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
    • Revolution in Iran, a new more secular government is formed, the nuclear program is abandoned and sanctions are lifted (This might happen prior to the previous point and if it does then the former doesn't happen).
    • Electric cars start to slowly but surely take their foothold in the market lowering the prices of fuel and lowering pollution.
    • Assad stays in power in Syria as a Russian puppet for the near future.
    • At some point in our lifetimes North Korea abandons dictatorship and their nuclear ambitions and reunites with the south whether due to reform or revolution.
    • China becomes a global superpower, reforms are made so that it's economy is more transparent and investors flock to china, perhaps the country begins to become slightly more liberal. However the Chinese language is not embraced around the world as a global language as it is too complicated.
    • Mustaches come back in style.

    doubt

with global flooding now a possibility most of chinas farmland and cities (basically all of the country live on the coast) getting flooded or contaminated by saltwater it isn't impossible that china could suffer a huge crisis in the future

China is already a superpower and investors are not only flocking in, but also out from the country, investing elsewhere in the world.

chinas economy is slowing down and the effects of the one child policy could cripple the nation

combined with climate change it could mean that suddenly the population is not viable and strife will spread

My view is really bleak of the future, not because I think we're terrible creatures. I think we're just misguided and that we're just doomed to always fail. I feel like a big event will occur 25 - 75 years in the future, be that a huge war which I find unlikely or something that causes a large change in our population or inhibits us moving on in to the future fully.

It's still the second biggest economy in the world with a more than solid grip on its society, it's still a loooong shot from having this "glorious upraising" you are talking about

unification of korea is honestly one of the only international news at the top of my head that i care about. so hopefully, they reunify with not much drawbacks or anything (although it wont be smooth for sure)
as well as new medical breakthroughs. Hopefully, there will be more cures to terminal diseases and cancers in the future. I believe we will achieve such possibilities soon. e.g https://medicalxpress.com/news/2018-10-japanese-pair-nobel-medicine-prize.html
Been following up in space stuff as well, hope to see space mars shit in the future.

idk why but im very optimistic about what the future holds for our world, despite all the drawbacks or shit thats had been happening recently.
