Anyone remember when we were told to make workshifts more violent because "Union dont care about working contiditions" and next day we had workshift with people dying and their limbs being crushed?

  3. I remember CWU kept making stuff intentionally dangerous and people got tired of it and stopped showing up because "I don't want my character to die, no."

And there was this guy who 'accidently' set the whole factory on fire (when there was a factory) and made two citizens get stuck inside while the rest figured out a way to enter the burning factory without proper fire equipment. Can't remember how it ended, but I think the citizens inside got saved.

Well if you think about just making cigarettes or food it is quite .. boring. I see the problem myself that many simply do not go there, but the reasons for this are questionable to me ... Building the rocket is, of course, an improvement to see what happens in the UIL and the RP there is also a lot of fun. Perhaps one could still think about what else can be done in USE, UIL or MU, even if it is only the cleaning of medical products in a decontaminated room, there would be many new possibilities.

To say something more ... I would be happy if you could do more with loyalists, I saw a workshift outside the city ... if I am not mistaken there were 2 loyalists and the rest not, not even an armband, but sending them out was risky on the one hand and somehow incomprehensible on the other.
With more (but not too many) loyalists workshift's, you would also try harder to "work your way up"

Overall, danger when not overdone as you all describe is an interesting source of RP. But I don't think citizens would be working on things that could crush limbs in the hl2 universe. The Combine has as many synths as there twelve year old power hungry CPs that want to do rape role-play.

So like some kind of loyalist only workshift or something? As in, higher tiers allow access to certain workshifts that would otherwise be unattainable?
It's an idea, but no clue how it'd be managed - Not enough loyalists.

On CW there were shifts like that, assembly of USPs and ammo production (at least when I played)

To really make workshifts interesting, spend 40 minutes copy pasting a fantasy procedure on how to make synthetic oranges!

I mean, I took this suggestion to heart and made the most soul-crushing workshift I could think of.
Getting wood, putting glue and paper on it and then adding a paperclip.
    I mean, it wasn't boring, just soul-crushing, so that's a start, right?

Yeah, like that, and I think with a bit of "higher tier workshifts" a few more would be "loyalist " or want to go that way. (or higher)

Fine, I'm giving loyalists priority in workshifts. They can cut lines, etc.
Makes me feel like shit, but I'm doing it now.
