I agree with you on that. I wouldn't mind if it was all a matter of in-character decisions that determined whether or not it was allowed. Stasi could tell the Soviets no, the Soviets COs could put an end to it, depending on what they do off-duty in the town. It could end up in a situation where it's stopped because one idiots got too drunk and got into fist fight or something crazy and then that Soviet would forever be known as the asshole that got off-duty privileges in the city revoked.

Will the faction leads or someone like that promote S2RP? Instead of just them S2K'ing for most of the time?

S2RP is absolutely horrible in large groups and open areas, so no. S2K still has to be initiated though

For one on one gunfights or smaller engagements in sector one, will there be a more S2RP enforced style? Or is that s2k too. I don't mind it either way, but I was just curious.

I personally REALLY dislike S2RP because barely anyone can do it properly without surviving countless shots or max payne style shit.
But people are free to agree to it just like the /roll system. The standard method is s2k after proper initiation though.

Makes sense, is there also a policy on melee combat? Not like I'll be expecting soviet bayonet charges in the middle of s2k to be RP'd, but fist fights, and extremely close range gunfights. Is that P2L or /roll? Personally in my experience, /roll would be better since it's not malnourished citizen against roided out CP, but it all depends.

/roll is fine, it’ll be mostly down to the player. I also dont particulary mind people doing melee s2k if gun s2k has been initiated on them

I hope Melee S2K would only be a thing if a gun was involved. There's a worry I have where people will take out a pipe, run up behind a stasi agent, paste a melee s2k me, and spam left click. Then they grab the gun or attack the second agent. It's pretty gamey from my point of view.

S2RP is terrible imo. S2K with initiation is preferable and far more in line with the action-oriented experience WW3RP offers.

French-German undercover NATO agents & the group from the Local Soviet Garrison meet in Frankfurt Bar 'Kr3mlin', GDR 1992.

I'd say yes, but only with light equipment, People with rank carry sidearms. And usually try and not get wasted. While the enlisted go and unwind a little

Yeah I had the idea that Soviets would be allowed to go off duty on like "shore leave" to the city, provided they are in a large group and are carrying R&R passes or are authorised by a CO or SNCO.

S2RP literally only works in a small-scale event scenario.

Trying to push it in the context of retaliatory actions and/or patrols is going to net you three hours of "/me dodges and shoots back REALLY GOOD" until invariably nobody suffers any consequences.

    no not really

you wouldn't find shit when looking for IEDs in that formation before you step on whatever you are trying to find, for an example

distance between each person is about right, but it's scuffed
