GENERIC DEBRIS??

so in my "recently opened files" thingy in hammer, there was a file called aaaaaa.vmf that i have no memory of creating

it's dated from last night and appears to be a hasty, crappy recreation of that one segment from halo 3, the level "the covenant"

i have no idea the circumstances of creating this even, and judging by how hastily thrown-together it is it was probably done after several hours of work and with a significant amount of sleep deprivation and/or drugs

mapping is genuinely harder than coding most of the time

if your code is bad but it works, people normally won't know

if your map is bad but it works, it will 100% be really fucking obvious

Currently learning hammer myself after being saddened by the lacking amount of actual original HL2EP2RP maps out there. Ineu maps are mostly just copy+pastes of segments of ep2 campaign, but those happen to be the only ones available for those looking to make a post ep2. We see this pattern repeating in alot of the HL2RP maps being straight up copy+pastes with tweaks of original HL2 campaign maps, such as coast and build 210. Hopefully, I can make a decent map after learning enough and bring in an era of originality to this dump we call HL2RP.
