Unable to install GMod

So I uninstalled GMod and tried to reinstall it to have a clean version of the game to use again.

Though when I tried to install, there is one particular error that keeps coming up, despite all my efforts to resolve it.

It tells me that there's a missing download file called FactoryReset-GMod.bat that Steam is apparently unable to download. Here's what I've done so far in my attempt to fix it:

1. Completely reinstalled GMod + removed all associated folders from steamapps
2. Restarted my PC
3. Restarted Steam
4. Used CCleaner to remove any faulty and leftover registry entries

Nothing has worked so far, it keeps spitting out that it can't download this particular file.

I guess I solved it now?

What I did is... I uninstalled Steam, removed the folder where I had all my games etc. installed in, used CCleaner to get rid off bricked and faulty registry entries, restarted my PC and then just cleanly installed it again, made a new folder and then it worked.

Don't use CCleaner, it's dogshit, and barely does anything

CCleaner does more bad than good nowadays, it can fuck up your registry too.
