So, Lotte is turning gay and Rath is dancing with a gay. I know there was a lot of homosexuality/drag in the last two seasons but I'm going to start cheering for bad guys considering Lotte and Gereon have made very immoral decisions in their conduct. I suppose the whole idea of Babylon Berlin was that everybody in the god damn city is sick, vile, or straight up immoral but god damn, all the good guys were killed in the last season and the remaining people to cheer for are as follows:

The Communists.
The National Socialists.
The dude who coveted his brother's wife in the Great War, now rejects her and has ruined the family he could have had.
The chick who tries so hard to get into the police, only to party, hook up with other chicks and snort cocaine on the side.
The Mafiosos Brothers who kill people.
Political Police head Wendt, who is a national socialist.
FRITZ! The Nationalist Socialist who pretended to be a Communist to get his fiancee to blow up based Commission Benda.
Helga's baby, because fuck Helga herself.
The decent but sexist detective that's put into a joint investigation with rather.

Frankly, I'm leaning towards the decent but sexist detective, Helga's baby, and Mafiosos, and sort of Fritz because Fritz is such a shitbird. Seriously, getting engaged with a woman, only to make her bomb the police commissioner in order to get the state to crackdown on communists and gain more national socialist support was a very BIG BRAIN move, despite the fact he's a Nazi, that's a power-play and a half.

All in all, its still a pretty based season, but I miss Walter from season 1 and 2. They were certainly one of my favorite characters. The way he played Gereon and Lotte off eat other was epic, and the fact he had the balls to try and overthrow the state was a baller move. RIP Walter, you were based and redpilled.

Also, if you don't watch it in German, you are not cool, like me.

Why is it people with conservative tendencies always say that the Weimar should have been overthrown?

This isn’t bait, I just don’t get it.

The dude who coveted his brother's wife in the Great War, now rejects her and has ruined the family he could have had.
Since his brother was revealed as alive at the end of season two, was there ever any reason to elope with her anyway?

He wanted some semblance of his brother to return, not her.

I'm just saying that he was a man of powerplays.

He banged Lotte, then used her as a pawn.
Pretended to look out for Gereon while investigating his reasons for being in Berlin.
He repeatedly had me yelling at my television, "WAAALTERR!" because of his epic displays of vilany while operating under the guise. He hid his dark side very well

In regards to the Weimar Republic, it was going to be overthrown, but who would do so was more or less the question. The militaristic old guard hated it, the communists hated it, the National Socialists hated it. The only people who liked it were moderates and liberals but with the stock market crash, the country moved towards more radical politics to seek resolution.

True, but I have misgivings towards anybody who gets into a marriage and leaves it because they're not willing to make it work, except in cases of domestic abuse.
