I had a dream where a bunch of retards decided to kill unarmed shop owners and PK them for the sole crime of being supplied by either faction.

I understand there is supposed to be lots of physical/non-lethal violence, but if a few morons actually go out of their way to disobey the rules against actually killing people during quests, will their kills be PKs considering the intention of the event is to create an atmosphere/plot and not kill off 'innocent' characters?

What exactly are the rules on 'inaction'?

Does simply running a shop for one of the factions give 'PK' auths on you?

I am certain that event management and planning is all on point, but sometimes I worry about the playerbase itself taking matters too far for the sake of killing off characters.

It shouldn't be, but when there are large racial gangs being made prior to an event intended to be almost a 'race war', I am skeptical of those within said gangs. From what I hear, D12 is relatively serious and well done, but I still have concerns that people are going to go ham considering most of them made their Chinese/Korean/Japanese characters for the event and will likely not care if they die in the event.

I guess I just have no clue if, or to what extent the recently made Japanese/Korean/Chinese characters are serious characters or throwaways intended to make the excitement of the event that much better. Its hard to tell and it concerns me.

almost every quest targeting players will stipulate non-lethal action
that said, events are full of risk, and pks over the course of the event may be inevitable in some cases

as for total inaction, for not getting involved at all in the plot, i can't tell you what will happen - someone could just come along and have enough reason to pk you like any other day on the server, but it won't be a quest goal issued by me, i can't account for the actions of ordinary players

imagine how stressfully fun it'll be knowing one of the major quest givers wants you dead.

I'm fine with that if its specifically in response to something I did, but is running a shop when there are only two suppliers enough to justify killing off a character who is a mere humble vendor?

that was in reference to normal server pks between people, not quests from the event

like i said, any attacks on stores will be on the stores, not on the vendors

So that is to say that an overzealous Chaebol does not have PK auths on cowering humble Zaibatsu merchants?
