I get the whole 2nd amendment right and that but in my brain I always wonder why any normal human being would feel the need to bring a killing weapon with them while going about like their daily activities
because i don't trust other human beings not to take advantage of me if they have a gun of their own, not to mention the fact that the world is a dangerous place, even today, and I need to be able to defend myself against those who would wish to harm me

also I have a small penis

they don't have one of their own
I think everyone shouldn’t be allowed to openly carry/only having firearms for home defence

I just don’t understand how the rest of the world can function without firearms but every American needs one just don’t really get it

i feel very strongly about firearms, and I firmly believe it is my human right to own one, or in my case several, if I so desire

if a friend of mine wants to learn how to shoot one, he/she and I go out to the woods and I teach them how to do it and give them advice on which ones to buy if they need to. Perhaps it's a strange american thing, but it's deeply ingrained in my culture, the way I was raised, and it's a part of who I am, as stupid as it may seem

America has an incredibly rampant issue of illegal firearms as well as firearms being incredibly pervasive tbh.

So like even if you don't have a gun that won't stop the local criminal from buying one and using it when they break into your house. Even states with incredibly strict laws on the stuff suffer from this.

Like here in the UK I don't need a gun because I know I'm not likely to run into someone carrying one and literally never have even living in/near some of the worst areas in the North East - but I can't say the same for the US. Not to say criminals don't have guns here but they're not exactly common.

Aye suppose that’s true but it’s a vicious circle, remove guns and no one will have them you know? Just not certain that the mentality helps a lot of the issues in the states

Protection, especially if I go out at night. It's a deterrent more than anything else I suppose, but I'm prepared to use it if I need to.

The culture here is different. Open carrying is pretty common. In my state especially, we used to be part of the wild west. Open carrying of anything is legal and you wouldn't really be shocked to see it. I've seen people open carry shotgun and rifles at recent protests lol.

I even saw someone on horseback and it wasn't shocking.

i mean, my family has about 120 guns in total

guns are never going to be removed from the US, for better or worse its something we have to deal with
