because posting here when Trump won wasn't enough to make me grate lemons into my eyes, let's see how many people will be against this. If you're from the UK:
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/173199

Go sign that petition. Basically parliament want to continue their crusade to filter and track our internet connections by forcing all ISP's to keep a log of every website you connect to, which is allowed to be accessed by multiple government agencies, some truly don't have any good purpose seeing what you've been looking at.

You've likely not heard about the bill as it seemingly isn't being mentioned by any news outlet whatsoever.

Ik some of you are gonna be like "If you don't have anything to hide what's the issue" but let's be honest here, this is a slippery slope to a hellhole for our internet access.

So yeah, sign it and send it to all your other brit friends. Or post memes here and shitpost w/e idc as I'm sure as hell not following this thread's posts.

Completely serious here, there isn't a signle thing to me than privacy and the freedom to keep what you want to yourself and to be anonymous.

As you say, it's a slippery hellhole, so if you don't want to be on a watchlist for everything you do eventually, then step up.

Yeah uh, that just clears the history on your COMPUTER. When the bill becomes law, they still have an exact copy of the websites you'd have connected to on the ISP's side.

Aren't politicians exempt from this?

I read somewhere that this law will make them exempt from it or something.

I don't live in England, but thats just wrong.

Privacy is practically a basic human right. The fact that parliament has passed a law taking away such rights is despicable.

I think it's very likely that as soon as it's used, someone will appeal to the courts. the courts will hold it to be incompatible with the european convention of human rights/human rights act.

suppose it also depends how they use it too. either way I'm not too worried
