Can't connect to the server.

Yes hello,

I never had any problems before connecting to nebulous.cloud hl2rp server, until you recently changed the map. I refuse to believe the map has anything to do with this at all, I have all workshop things subscribed, so with the map and its content packs... Here what's happening...

I connect to the server and wait for the loading to complete, as always. This times, it takes an extraordinary amount of time before loading and always ends up with "Beta timed out." (only on the first attempt)

Then I try again (sometimes I even restart gmod as it can help) and wait for the loading screen... then I all of surrend crash, sometimes no errors appear, others I get this white box saying strange thing like "failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDx8::LockVertexBuffer: nVertexCount=1859 nFirstVertex=0"


It only happens on nebulous.cloud, nowhere else. Can anyone help me?

dont fucking do that lmao, that's a waste of time


instead, validate your files, and check your launch options for anything that fucks with "dxlevel", and delete the line / command, also "nod3d9ex" causes issues, so delete that too

afaik c24 crashes at any non-default dxlevels
