So I had prolly the most intense escape today

So I'm trying to do an escape with a new item daily

It's a huntress, with a ebony mori + iri heads (basically 1 hit from hatcher = INSTANT down)

One teammate goes down and INSTANTLY dcs. Leaving three of us. Two of us three somehow managed to kite the killer around one side of the map while I snuck to the other side and cleansed her two hex totems (Ruin and Lullaby). In this time, I also get a gen done and work on another.

Eventually, one of my teammates goes down, I rescue them - killer instantly comes back and mori's them. This leaves me and another teammate. Killer focuses on them while I work on another gen. She goes to my side of the map using BBQ, I go in for the rescue. I fuck it up and go down on my first hook.

The killer player stared at me on the hook, doing the nodding, taunting etc. I attempt to escape, and succeed - my sprint burst putting enough distance in order for me to avoid a hit. Thanks to lightweight, I manage to lead her long enough for my teammate to die then I return to where I got hooked and vaulted a ledge and got downed, right next to the hatch.

And to prove this happened, here's a screenshot:

"gen rushing is fine but tunneling isn't"
if gens are being done its because the killer isn't doing anything to prevent it by patrolling

you can't do anything about a tunneling killer except accepting your fate or dc'ing

though, from a killers perspective, you wanna win the game right, the more people alive the faster gens get done, the faster you lose

if you hook someone, and they get unhooked, you see the person you hooked and the person who unhooked them, why would you go after the person not hooked once? more so, if they've been hooked twice, if you get them again they're out.

but isnt it more efficient to hook everyone once rather than 1 guy twice?

that way everyone is stage two when they get hooked, and it'll distribute more injured states so they end up having to heal for a longer period to all be back to healed state

if there's two people infront of you, one you can take out on next hook, the other still got 2-3 hooks left, why wouldn't you take that one out and slow down progress?

it's not like going across the whole map and searching one person down, but if i see someone run straight towards the hook, i'll follow and there's often no reason to not go with the guy that got unhooked, unless the person doing the unhooking is bill.

yeah obv but tunneling is this
going across the whole map and searching one person down

not punishing people who make stupid unsafe hook plays

nah it doesn't bother me, i'm just saying, most players will consider that tunneling
gen rush whilst the only way to win, is a scummy tactic, the post was pointing out people get upset with scummy tactics from the killer but does it as survivors

Personally, I never have the problem of having to face camp or tunnel. Even if the survivors use scummy tactics, you can counter it, mostly with add-ons and perks. I haven't played in a while but in my opinion, face camping and tunnelling on purpose means that you really don't want to lose and want to blame your own failures in a match on the survivors.
