You'll have increased latency and download speed definitely won't be the same. Why use wifi right next to the router?

i'll likely use this for a few days and if i don't see much issue, keep it, but if i feel a bit iffy i'll just reinstall windows and try the ethernet cable again.

Just buy a new cable? They're cheap as shit

Honestly it’s quicker to just try a new cable, it’s probably not Windows
