D22 serves as an entity to do projects which in aftermath are not to be published.
Their projects limit on weapons, biological advancements (viruses, enhancements) and of course fiddling with combine tech

@Dallahan I've been observing D22 for months and CASS really isn't required, it serves as oversight, yes - but literally a monkey in a wheelchair could do the same role

aside from that, it exists to go "lol ur wrong my combined database says X IS THE ANSWER LOL" and act as the terminator when needed

which, obviously, shouldn't be the mandate of anything involved with D22 - let alone a 'lead' character

I've been in D22 for a while now too. CASS isn't really essential to the functions there, at least not in the form they're in. I feel like it would be a lot better if it was just Chip handling what 's necessary back there.

I've also seen a slight tendency to retcon in features to CASS. To be fair, I've only seen them used in passive settings, but I've seen CASS slice ties with some kind of laser blade finger iirc, and another time do some kind of scan with sensors out of his forehead (or something to that effect).

i think theres a clear line between a "robot that is industructible that can do things that precious scientists cannot" and "this robot has a suite of abilities to kill other things"

My assumption would be that bullets wouldn't phase them, and if they did, they'd come back in a new vessel/platform. I'm not trying to be maliciously critical, only honest.

if a robot can shrug off slugs and .50 caliber rounds I think it's fair to say said robot should be:

a) exiled to the area beyond the SQL database
b) decommissioned
c) used to kill all lesbians before being decommissioned
