Oh, no. It's ok, I'm not trying to call you out or say you're a bad leader. I was just putting my experience out with you. I understand, but it is a bit frustrating.
i admit ive been very lax with the faction but im probably going to take a step forward with it now since people want some shit done although that's not really me saying oh no people are whining time to do something for five days then go away it's more me saying oh boy i need to start spanking the children
leading factions isnt my forte that much either but ive slowly been trying to get advice from others on what to do and what not to do
i continue to have a passion for the faction yet its roles kinda still remain undefined as a whole and difficult to know when you are going to infuriate another faction leader (which doesnt make sense on why they get so angry over vidya) or get shat on by other various parties
Chez, I've never directly lead a faction, but I observed people who have and I've been taught a few things. You just need to show continuous interest in things, reach out to people in your faction and out about things they've seen.
I know being a chief commissar in ww3rp isn't much, but I always made sure to check in on other commissars and keep my friends list and messages open if they had questions or needed to talk, and talked to them in private about things to get updates on how they're performing/if they have any issues they want to talk about, but weren't sure if you were free.
Everybody starts somewhere, and people will get frustrated, but you can't please everybody. It's about changing and improving though, and taking in the thoughts of people so you can see differences. I know I made changes in how I handled things when people brought them up, and adaptability is a good trait to have for situations and cases like this.
Maybe encouraging a few PM convos with the major voices of the faction to create discussion and a way to make things interesting again is the way to go? Long time veterans who might see things you haven't considered?
To be fair, Powley made a status so it's kinda what you should expect if your calling out a faction and by extension, a faction lead.
Chez wouldve said the same on the proselyte ccc thread anyway.
It’s fair chez especially if you’re only learning to lead. You were supported by multiple other leads in your field but they’ve all left.
I do hope you’re serious about your intentions because it has the potential to make a good come back. Perhaps look into having a subordinate to help keep an eye on those in your faction so stress doesn’t overtake you.
@Chezburger The people I mainly learned from were Char and Generic, I was never directly in charge of a faction, just a little sub faction if that matters. If you'd like to talk more, my steam is always open for a quick chat Chez, I'd love to help out more.
Char and Generic are both sound guys i like the both of them
char was very funny back in clockwork, i remember pilsudski with my proselyte, green, and he said his codename in public (back when i think it wasnt allowed) and pilsudski quickly goes
He is, I've made my fair share of mistakes in front of him too... Like accidentally calling out a war crime he was committing in front of a fucking NATO special forces PoW.
nah bro you were just informing that NATO trooper of what to do to really make your ideology win a war
just some friendly advice to the enemy you see
