Honestly, I feel the pain of losing a character. But you have to admit that it was ultimately the failure of the guards and the patience they had to wait for the chance that got them this. Not only that but they're BOL'd and risked their characters to do this.

I get why you'd want your character to go out in a better way, but sometimes you get ganked because you reported the wrong guy, just like rebels die in a hail of gunfire.
