This is a Overhaul Of another post which got rather Negative Feedback.

Roleplay Intro:

A Player (Test Subject And Scientist Applicant) will Spawn in a Hub Area, similar to the „Bring your Daughter to Work“ Area near the end of Portal 2.

A Guidance Robot will guide The Applicant to a designated Room.

Subject Applicants:
They will be guided to a Test Chamber, similar to the first Chambers of Portal 2. If they managed to complete these Tests, they will be interviewed and if they get applied, they will obtain the Portal Gun.
Higher Tier Subjects who are good in Puzzles are given the permission to choice what Test they want and will be rewarded with more Money and goods, to buy food and access to harder Puzzles. In the meantime where they aren’t tested, they can interact with other Subjects and some Scientists in the Hub Area.

Scientist Applicants:
They will be guided to a Labotory, and will be given a Task, that is decided by a Scientist. (Similar to CWU Workshifts)
If they manage the to successfully complete it, they will be given a Toolgun and Wiremod, and are allowed to research and build different objects that they were tasked to make, higher tier Scientists are allowed to freelance their Work. (Similar to BM:RP)

Guidance Robots (needs Application on Forums):
They help and guide Applicants to their designated Locations. If there are no available, a Scientist, high Tier Subject or Security Bot can be the Guider too.

Security Bots (Application on Forums):
They look that Subjects or Scientists don‘t escape and follow the Laws. In the worst Cases they are allowed to kill the Escaping/Rulebreaking Person too.

GladOs:
Very, very Loyal and good Security Bots can apply to a Admin, to become the Facility Overlord (FO) a.k.a Glados (but in Android Form), she can place Turret Defences If a Person is trying to flee the Facility, it can also control all the Tests and control everything else.

Escaping the Facility:
A Scientist, Subject And Rogue Security Bot, can escape by going through a Door in the Hub Area and some Test Areas, by completing a secret task that only a few people know, and will end up in the Industrial Area (Similar to Old Aperture) , through the Old Aperture they can use elevators, to go Behind the Scenes Of Aperture (Similar to last chapter of Portal 1), through the Rooms they can end up either Outside or in a Base, in the Base they can prepare for attacks and more, and a Rogue Scientist or Security Bot can build actual weapons to defeat any enemies and even the FO. They can then walk to their Freedom, which is heavily guarded if they were spotted and seen, or destroy the FO and take over the Facility with the Staff‘s Permission.

It would have all the problems of every "Scientific" rp: too much dependancy on certain members to do anything, if the scientists are not online test subject don't do anything and the other way around. Also other stuff:
-Having to do test center around puzzle would require either Incredibly simple puzzles come out on the spot that only rely on roleplay, elaborate puzzles that would need hours do be made, a huge amount of space and may not possibly work in the end or the same tests repeated over and over until people know the solution already. Also Puzzle would either need to be timed or conclude with the subject death, otherwise everyone would be able to solve them.
-Portal gun sweps are incredibly powerful tools and giving them to low tier players may end up with people glitching their way around, not to mention passive test subjects may decide to play around with them instead of passiverping
-Same for the scientists, the toolgun and wiremod are very dangerous, which means that the wiremod would be either very limited or only a very small amount of people would be allowed to become scientists, which would make the possibility that subject remain without scientists to test them even higher.
-Canonically, nor the test subjects nor the scientists were forced to remain inside, they were both volounteers and could leave whenever they wanted. If we skip this the "escape" part would be awkwardly easy to perform, unless you need an authorization for it, people will figure out how to escape pretty early and then tell the others on the forums or on steam, not to mention that catching test subjects empowered with portal guns would be very hard.
-The people outside fighting Aperture are basically the Resistance from HL2 but with portal guns and the inability to interact with players inside the system, basically making them test subject that sprints around scavenging instead of waiting for a scientist to test them.
-Test Subject have no incentive to progress unless tests are really good, they already have a poweful and fun tool (the portal gun) and other than that nothing else. Even if the incentive would be harder and more complex tests, that would require massive work from scientists and staff, that would basically turn the entire mode in the Portal 2 workshop.
