The problem is that is has no story behind it.

CP points at guy.

Guy goes for his Union Card.

CP pulls out gun and fires it in the air?

Guy is like "WOAH MAN I HAVE A CARD"

And a barrel seems to be vibrating way too fast for the lack of force happening against it.

If that is a barrel.

Also, the citizen's floating, I think.

I decided to go for a more simple pose this time and I made sure the muzzle flash looked much better.

[EDIT]: I decided to take the image again at a straighter angle. I want to see which people think looks better...

In-game man! The amount of times I spammed f12 to get that nice effect. The eyes are just with the model, in the metropolice pack with all the different models.

Just another pose I had a go at whilst I took a break from my revision. Only three exams left! I took extra time on this one to get the smoke from the barrel of his gun looking good.

I really enjoyed spending time on this one. Once again it's a bit different than usual with some more effects...

I really can't decide on this one... I was trying out some different styles and effects until I came across an effect that I just found felt right with the pose. I think the two main things that caught my eye were the unit's eyes and the lighting effect from the muzzle flash on the officer's face. Once again I'd just like to know what people think...

I have another with an ever slightly different effect in the background but I couldn't decide on one, so here is the other...

Filters are ok if they're subtle, or if it meets the artistic needs of the scene. For instance, for regular poses, I wouldn't drop posterization or outline effects, instead I would use some simple color correction to bring out the reds or blues. Maybe up the contrast. But if you're doing a comic or something like that, by all means bring out the big guns.

I felt like doing some more CP stuff. Hoping to do a rebel theme for my next large scale pose, but I'll see how things go...

I had a go at a pose that had just that little bit more going on in it. I feel that there is more story to this one just by the use of faciel expressions and eye posing. Character's in this pose have more of a role to play in the story.

Still gotta' get round to that rebel themed pose :rolleyes:

Well I got round to doing my rebel themed pose and I'm very happy with my ending result. I feel like I simply tried using props as distractions from the mistakes in the last few poses, but I made sure to clean this one up with still the added style and character of props in my piece. I also like the more natural lighting in this pose. The effects I did use were subtle and simple.

the posing is really stiff, and the picture is really empty. Maybe have a few people leaning on the table in the background, or a couple peole chatting on the chairs in the foreground. Occupied/cluttered looks better than empty in my opinion.

I've decided to go back to "close-up" just for the time being whilst I figure out how I can make the "large-scale" poses much better. I've realised that doing large scale poses every few hours is just gonna' frustrate me so I'm going to spend some time off the larger poses and think up something original that will hopefully look great with proper time put into it. But anyhow, here's the pose I did while contemplating life...
