Gmod UI scaling at 4k

i have a 4k monitor. well, more like a 4k tv that i am using as a monitor, it's as big as my desk so i have to run at that resolution or else i can see individual pixels, even at 1980x1080

a few pictures to demonstrate what gmod looks like at this resolution

this also applies to all text and chat boxes, such as the DetDesc in the server, etc

does anyone have anything that allows UI scaling in gmod, or a way to up the text size?

due to how much lowering resolution fucks up my computer, i cant accept lowering my resolution in gmod, it destroys every other app that is up by crunching them down to microscopic scale

unfortunately i cant seem to find any fix other than lowering your resolution

id try lowering it to something like 1080p and playing gmod in windowed mode see if that works

after years of research, i have found an answer

put gmod on this beta

then launch in x64 bit mode

when you go into windowed mode, your window will scale to your resolution but the game will not

also open the gmod files and go on hl2's properties, then compatibility, change DPI settings to this

this has been un-fixed, now 4k only works if I'm explicitly NOT on the chromium branch

Sadly can't be of help, I play at 1920 even tho i have a 4k monitor, since my PC goes into meltdown mode even on the startup screen when I enable 4k
