Half-Life 2 SFX

Hello, in the past I have tried to find the folder in Half-Life 2 that has all the SFX files. I was unable to find the SFX in the files I browsed through steam and my libraries. I was hoping someone here could help me find the folder that has the SFX. If you have any advice, please tell me.
