The bags under your eyes look the same as the first week.

Every night, City 22's Citadel blinked. The last Citadel on Earth, lights shooting out of the colossal structure. A glimmer of hope that poured into the cracks of the planks that barricaded the apartment's windows.

You can't remember when you hunkered down here in the first place, at this point.

The Liberation Army, under Lambda's command, had long mastered teleportation. There was nowhere to hide. You'd been encircled since the first month, you think.

Twelfth day. As noon breaks, the ground trembled. The Citadel came alive once again, but something was different - like the rotten heartbeat of a sick animal. Crimson clouds formed around the peak of the structure.

You'd seen this before, time and time again, with every City that had fallen victim to the global conflict. Against all odds, they had managed to reach into the deeper chambers...
