The age-old debate that has been sweeping the internet.

Pro's Arguments

Water is wet because:

  • When something comes into contact with it, it becomes wet
  • Multiple water molecules are needed to create water, thus meaning water touches a liquid (itself) and is therefore wet
  • Fish are wet as they live in water and thus are in constant contact with it
Con's Arguments

Water is not wet because:

  • Wetness is the effect of coming in contact with a liquid
  • Water does not touch itself
  • Fish are not wet because they are surrounded by water molecules

Which side do you fall on?

when you sit in the bathtub for too long and your fingers get wrinkled it's because they're wet

We had quite a conflict from this at my school. People going insane and teachers unsure how to address the situation, even my physics teacher got caught in the mess and couldn't really do much. No one really knew how to answer it.

I then made it worse by telling them that would we be wet then, as most of our body is composed of water and I blew the minds of three people with this. Others denied my logic or couldn't comprehend.

Water is actually sticky. There's an oil on our skin that stops it sticking to it. The effect of your fingers crinkling is that oil being washed off.

It would depend on which Satirical you mean. I'm the one who came second, not the original.

But yes I was with SCG.
