Just made this in Gmod with only addon SFX, looks fucking awesome. I added my name in the bottom left but whatever,

The resolution was 1680 x 1050 at first, didn't change it so it must be you.

Also I couldn't tone the brightness down that much, either way it did turn out a bit better than I expected.

It's not brightness - but rather the contrast is way too high - your darks need to remain dark, but the whites are too white.

AA and texture filtering is your friend
