Lag issues in the HL2RP server.

Whenever I join the server, and attempt to load in on a character, I lag so much to the point where I cannot move any direction.

For reference, I have tried:
- Waiting a few minutes in the menu
- Waiting a few minutes in the menu, then changing characters
- Waiting a few minutes after loading in to my character
- Restarting GMOD
- Verifiying game integrity.
- Changing over to the chromium branch.

This issue ONLY affects the Nebulous HL2RP server. I have no issues with any other GMOD server or any application.

I noticed that since a few days ago, I am frozen in place for about 10 seconds after connecting. The scoreboard loads even slower but it's all fine past the initial period

I would also like to add that I am getting this lua error:

bad argument #3 to 'Add' (function expected, got nil)
1. Add - lua/includes/modules/hook.lua:31
2. unknown - lua/autorun/client/tfa_hl2r_dlight_cl.lua:35

yea same tried troubleshooting w @Gyarik but nout fixes it, ive had similiar issues but they usually clear up after 10 seconds or so

@Toriwarior30055 has allegedly fixed the glitch, if you could try joining whenever you're available to see if it works normally again that'd be great

It went away one time, but now its back every time I join.

These have been on going since the start. Are not really classed as new problems. Might just be new to you.

Okay, so I figured out a very strange fix if you can't get it to work. Do +sit in console, find a bench or chair to sit on. Then, you can disconnect. When you rejoin, the game will teleport you back to your original standing position and will snap you out of the lag.

i think it's to do with props and how many players are on, just hazarding a guess tho i don't know the specifics

nope, i've got the same issue as you

Making it known that I’m only coming on to collect my items. And then coming off. Won’t be planning to get back on until after the event has ended.

Unable to do staff duties. Unable to be on my Unit. Wasting filter time on my rebel characters.

Hopefully the new map doesn’t have this shit.

make sure you get teleported by a staff member first so you are freed. It wont work if you are currently stuck IN the lag when you try to sit.
