Happy holidays, guys.

As someone working towards a level 7 qualification which grants me the title of Doctor, I naturally tend to earn a lot of money with my assigned duties in the hospital and in the general practice. So I figured it's only fitting to present you all with a giveaway of some kind; and seeing @Cramdam's post, I'll give you all Takeshi's Challenge, increasing in difficulty as we go along.

Question 1 (5th Prize): A patient comes in presenting with DO cavities on their LR6, a Glass Ionomer and Composite filling would seem to be unsuitable. What type of filling material would JDr. Lynx use to fill the cavity?

Question 2 (4th Prize): A patient complains of bleeding in his gums. JDr. Lynx inserts a WHO probe into the gums, he records the Basic Periodontal Exam charting as 3 3 3 / 3 3 3. What does this mean?

Question 3 (3rd Prize): A patient comes to the surgery complaining of a chronic abcess inside of his gum. He also seems to have a lot of sub-gingival calculus and gum disease. What type of X-Ray should JDr. Lynx take, and what treatment should he carry out.

Question 4 (2nd Prize): A patient's X-Ray appears as thus. Diagnose this patient. (Individual tooth, what is wrong with the tooth, what surfaces, accurate diagnosis needed.

Question 5 (1st Prize): A patient comes in complaining of pain in his UR2, he mentions a previous Root Canal Treatment and has since been having constant, throbbing pain and sensitivity to cold drinks in the tooth. JDr. Lynx takes an X-Ray and sees the Root Canal has failed. He sees this and has given the patient three options.

State the missing option.

  • Extraction of the UR2.
  • Referral to a specialist to have another (albeit less likely to succeed) Root Canal treatment.
  • ????

Use the yellow xray thing you have to bite down on to take the xray and take an xray from each angle or side, they usually make you bite down twice so whatever it is. From there you can tell if it's bad or healable on its own, inform the patient he is really shit at keeping his teeth clean and he needs to stop eating sugar from the fucking pot. From there you can use the scrapey thing to scrape some plaque off and clean the teeth some, ensure they use mouthwash to clean their gums. Then tell them to get a really good toothbrush, some decent toothpaste and to floss.

It means he needs shit removed??

Like, three is pretty fucking bad and it means you need to assess his alveolar bone level for his teeth??

Am I close???
