Character name: Derek Smith
Date of birth: 02/12/1997
Briefly describe your character's background:
Derek graduated from UWE Bristol in the UK; gaining a 2:1 in Paramedic Science. Following a turbulent and rough life surrounding his relationship with his single mother, Derek decided that he had no life left waiting for him inside of the UK borders. Seeking a way to get out of it all and begin life anew, he had managed to save what little money he had left to seek new horizons. Shortly after researching areas to work outside of the UK, Derek found an advertisement for the Los Santos EMS, stating they were looking for new hires after an apparent shortage in EMS staff had became an issue.
Derek saw this as a sign; and promptly applied for the EMS service with the premise of relocating himself to LS. Luckily for him, he already had his passport ready to go, and with the help of his local travel agency he applied for a working visa to begin life anew. Shortly after, he had moved into LS and began working a low-income burger flipper job at a local Burger Shot whilst awaiting news regarding his application to the LS EMS.
Why do you want to join the EMS? (IC & OOC):
IC: I wish to join the LS EMS as I see there has been a distinct shortage of EMS in LS. I hope to alleviate pressure on the emergency services in LS as well as build and progress my career for my own sake and to build a life for my family.
OOC: Medical roleplay is my bread and butter, it's in my blood. I have roleplayed many medical roles outside of GTARP; including having lead medical factions on WW3RP and HL2RP.
What are your character's short-term and long-term goals within the EMS?:
Short Term: I hope to establish myself in the local community, helping those in need and becoming a friendly face to those in need. I wish to begin a new and fulfilling life in the LS EMS and I believe the EMS can help me achieve this.
Long Term: Long-Term, I wish to build a new life in LS. With the help of the EMS, I believe I can further establish and develop my career within the EMSin order to adapt into more specialised roles.
Do you have experience on any other roleplay servers?: Plenty.
Do you have prior medical experience? (optional):
I have a medical degree.
