Monitor problems.

I got my new gtx 970 and my new vs550 corsair psu today. I put everything together but then my Acer V246HL DVI Monitor, I'm using the VGA adapter for my monitor and gpu wich came with it but everytime I try to start it it says no signal. Please help

plug the screen cable into the mobo socket if it's plugged into the graphics card, or do the opposite if it's plugged in the mobo

Your monitor needs time to adapt to its new partner. These things can't be rushed.
