I've been using Google trends to convey a timeline of the popularity of some Garry's Mod gamemodes when writing articles, but have noticed spikes of interest before the gamemodes were released. This is particularly prominent for the Stranded gamemode, when the previous interest spikes are higher than the popular YouTube era of 2013. Does anyone have an explanation?
