Nebulous Neotokyo Tournament - Open to All!

Some of you might be aware of the steam mod Neotokyo (released circa 2006) and how good it is to occasionally get a game on it given the population is mostly dead. I spoke to a few figures and it's been decided to host to host a tournament, since it's a free mod (all you need is CSS) and having some competition would be neat.

Since this is a tournament, to join you need to offer something into the pot, be it anything from a steam game to a simple trading card. Winner of the tournament takes all of it. Obviously, just send whatever it is to the winner after the tournament, not me beforehand. They'll be posted here.

Rules: ​

1) We will have a warmup session before the main tournament to get people used to the slightly archaic mechanisms of leaning/playing the game. Nothing too shabby but it's recommended if you want to shape up.
2) We only have space for 28 people (14 per team). If you want to sign up, post below. If you need to bail out, please post beforehand so we can give your slot to another instead of wondering why you aren't at the due date.
3) Don't be a cock and hack or use obvious exploits to boost your chances.
4) If you bhop on recon you're forsaken by god.

Still requires CSS for the base assets (animations, particles).
You can't play without it for some reason; and we're using the steam version instead of the janky (and older) mod version.

think a team-based shooter like CSS/HL2DM-ish except there's better options (e.g detpacks, different grenades, vision modes (with perks/drawbacks per class), temp cloak, etc. it's easier to experience it than talk about it)

if you're a bhopping recon you'll get blown up by a shotgun

if you're a slow-moving sniper you'll get flanked, counter-sniped or blown up

etc

and yeah, provided you have CSS it's free on steam
