I mean, if I was SD:

I'd immediately call a poll for what kind of FTRP people wanted.

Imo it could either be 1 week after initial infection or 1 year.

One week would be very NPC and loot heavy with active roleplay and a LOT of people RP'ing as infected since there would be a fuckton. Similar to Left 4 Dead.

One year would be more like the Walking Dead. There'd be no outer groups, just survivors that'd band together and choose their leaders through an IC democracy and would ration out food and water. Infected would be rare, but fucking difficult due to the amount of time they've had to mutate. Less loot, so everything is valued a lot more. Teamwork would be mandatory, since one person alone probably couldn't take out even the weakest infected without top tier weaponry.

I've always liked the idea of having no main/admin created factions only player created factions.
Makes everything more creative and player centered.

are u stupid?

u keep saying "if itd been one year then there would be almost no infected left LOL" but thats not how it works

the infections weren't from the initial outbreak, u can get infected by other mutants

You can, but America has a population of 318 million.

Frundtech tried out their mutagen on people in death row, of which currently, there are 2,900.

The "Small town in Colorado" Could have a population from 1,000 to 100,000, but it's likely it's about 1,000-ish, any bigger would've been too public for the company.

So that's about 3,900 mutants, some of which became feral and actually caused the outbreak.

So, 2,500-ish non-feral mutants.

If 90% of America's population was infected, there would be 31,800,000 non-infected, which is still an absolute fuck ton of people. More than the size of Wales and other countries. Let's say none of the mutants died.

2,500 is 0.06578947368 percent of 31.8 million, not even 1%.

So yes, there is almost no proper mutants left.

It takes a normal person 3 days to dehydrate, and about a week to starve, because they're not undead, and are still alive.

So there's 286,200,000 ferals. Probably not enough food to go around, considering most survivors are holed up in strongholds and hidden away.

So yes, most ferals would also starve to death.

there would be no guns

There would be guns but they would be rare same with the ammo but melee weapons would be very common like knifes and hammers. Plus I already have idea in hand
