PK'd for something no one ever told me

So today I was rping, my steam was bugged so I restarted it, the guy I was rping with had gone offline so I went to the square to rp. a scanner flew up to me, shining its blinding light in my eyes and I touched it(I was never aware or even slightly warned that I couldn't do that). I was instantly shot after being taken into the nexus and I am utterly pissed off. I wanna get this appealed asap.
