The Communications and Logistics Unit, otherwise known as ‘CLU’, is the unit that does the work behind the scenes to keep the troops on the field informed on what’s going on by using radio reports of distress, visuals, or enemy troops to remind and update others requesting sitreps. On base, they’re in-charge of ordering in shipments of supplies to be delivered to medical, engineering and the quartermasters to keep the troops stocked and replacement parts available for use. Within the team are logistic specialists, electronic technicians and communications specialists, who spend more time on base than their combat engineer counterparts, however, they do work together to ensure that supplies are available for the front-lines.

To join the Communications and Logistics Unit, you must either be within infantry with a college degree in a related field, a combat engineer, or a non-commissioned officer. Preferred qualities include self-reliant, pro-active, and a dedication to saving lives through hard work, informing our troops on the field and efficient logistics.

The Communications and Logistics Unit is overseen by First Lieutenant Robert Botsford (@Poopship McGee) , Second Lieutenant Clark Winters (@Dazza), and Master Sergeant Arie Roest (@Zekrop).

The Dutch are disgusting people, I used to talk to this Dutch boy called @SpaceInvader and I have to admit, all the stereotypes I heard about the Dutch are true

I heard one day he was out picking tulips in his clogs and milkmaid outfit but was too stoned to notice the passing arm of a windmill which hit him in the arse and knocked him into a canal.

I like shitposting about the Dutch as much as any other guy but can we keep the irrelevent shitposts to a minimum?

WW3RP stuff is welcome.

no vendors?

Still discussing specifics, but looking more than likely. It is something we would like.

I'd rather have actual players be the quatermaster or just like get guns from arms deals between insurgent groups etc. Would also mean that stock will be a thing and that people have something to lose when they actually die since on WW3RP before there was only a significant consequence if you lost your 2k elcan scope 4 times in a row.

No vendors offers up interesting dynamics of soviets keeping stock records and having to get supplies in which lets the insurgents raid either and provides roleplay instead of looking at a salesmen and clicking

I'm excited for no vendors, but I am a bit worried about people on at off-hours where they can't stock up because no quartermasters are on. I assume people would just need to wait for a QM to get on, but it could be a little difficult if there's none on and you wanna go on a patrol but have no gun/low ammo from your last patrol.

I'm still pro-no vendor but maybe there should be an ammo box that people can use freely? If someone takes too much ammo though they get a talking to or -gulag-.

Don't worry, it's something we are leaning towards, it sounds great in theory but the logistics of how it would work and who can be trusted with it is a different story.
Nothing lost trying it because if it’s fucked it’s an easy change to vendors
