Suggestion: Remove vortbeams being able to self inflict damage to the user.

Why it would be worth adding: Because an old game doesn't have the best accurate prop clippings and when you peek tightly between props, you think you'd fire in the open but instead, you shot the prop itself and thus you inflict major self damage or death. Worst way to die in a tense battle.

Necessary content: Change in codes?

I remember when the beam was discussed in a context similar to this aaaages ago. At the time, it didn't really go further after Zak saying this:
it's a matter of performance as well, keep in mind doing a flat "x points of blast damage in y radius" is far more performance-efficient than checking every entity within the blast radius and filtering out vortigaunts; the only reason it's done the latter way for dispelling is because otherwise there'd be no way to do it without injuring yourself
Not sure why it'd be very intensive to add the filter to the vortibeam, considering it has a very small blast radius - compared to the groundpound (aka dispel) with its much, much larger blast radius that already has filter code in place.
