Pretty much winning 3 championships in a row is a really big deal + it's hometown + it's the football club with the most fans in the entire world, so shit does go down.
Third year I've gone to the celebrations and it was fucking drugs.

i can be ignorant and says who cares.
but i will be even more ignorant and say only soccer world cup matters
brazil v germany :>)

No but really, that's a giant celebration for a third win in a row for a city victory. Assuming they are the countries best team if they won the championships three times in a row?

I think it was like 150-200k people in that square alone.
They used to be the best, then got left behind to 2nd place, fighting for first place and winning every now and then.
4 years ago they were locked to win pretty much and lost in the last game to the team that was winning mostly, year after won, and won until now.

Pretty much Porto has been the number one team, except these last 3/4 years Benfica made a comeback to become number one again, getting their 35th title in the league, and we haven't had a three championship win streak in 39 years if not mistaken, that's why it's a pretty big deal as well.
