So I had a cool moment yesterday my dumb ass forgot to save. So i'll do my best to explain:
I was doing single-man squad logistics, driving logi-trucks etcetera, my logistics truck got taken out and none were back at main base nor anywhere I could easily reach without possibly fucking over my team, So I spawned at what we called southern hab (it's the map with the crossroads objective in the middle, south of that was the HAB, urban environment). I started running upwards to link up with another squad to support them for a bit until I die and a logi is hopefully back at base.
Half-way there I hear on comms "Southern HAB overrun", so I check, notice we can't spawn there anymore and immediately 180 back there. I managed to get close to the hab and this is essentially what it looked like:
Black are borders, mainly walls apart from the one seperating blue and orange.
Orange = Stairs going up to second level capable of overwatching the HAB,
Blue = Second level overwatching the hab
Red = FOB radio
Green = HAB
Grey circles = Enemy positions.
I was running up from the southwest, one of the enemies stopped peeking the west entrance as I came around the corner so for cover I immediately ran up the stairs, figured out I could take him out from there and so I did, I then realized that before I did I saw roughly 5 more enemies remaining, 3 digging down the radio and two others walking around, I immediately got to cover and some rounds flew past me, For some reason, I thought throwing grenades was a good idea so I under-hand tossed two grenades, one to the guys at the FOB radio and one to the south-westish corner of the HAB, I immediately ducked for cover before hearing *bang*, *bang* *screams*, I peeked out and saw all the dead bodies.
I went down, checked around a bit, saw no one, figured everything was clear, So I went on command and radio'd "Southern HAB seems cleare-" before promptly being shot in the head by the one enemy that was a bit further away, luckily roughly 5 seconds later the other squad that was responding to protect it arrived, took out the guy(s) and revived me.
That's the story of how I felt like rambo for 10 seconds before my brain was blown out.
