Just started this game. Holy shit, its awesome. What do you have to say for it?

mad bump but this game really needs to be more well known

its like starcitizen but actually released and good

good economy, amazing star battles, balanced ship types, amazing random encounters

be a scavenger who cleans up after battles, gets shitty d-modded garbage ships, and mod them to be kamikaze ships with safety overrides that aggressively slam into enemy ships and blow them (and themselves) up

be a pirate that blows up merchant convoys, smugglers, and the occasional patrols. shore up your losses by reclaiming broken ships and sell your loot onto systems missing their goods because you keep blowing up their convoys

be a trader; gather a lot of freighters and a couple of decent combat ships, dodge pirates and religious fanatics, and the occasional faction you piss off with your trading, sell large hauls of goods

be a smuggler; sell off illegal shit for high cash values while dodging patrols and contraband scans. consort with... less reputable people (pirates and fanatics) for fun and profit

be a hired hand; commission yourself with a faction and kill off the factions enemies. slowly grow while using your factions ships in military markets to be a step up against enemy factions. raid enemy planets and take over their colonies for your faction.

tired of all that? make your own faction. find a good few planets in a star cluster, setup colonies, industries, and defenses against the inevitable jealousy of the major factions and the insatible greed of the pirates. and watch out; the luddic path, religious fanatics, don't like you when you start building ""certain structures""

there is a LOT of content to cover in the vanilla game, and on TOP OF ALL THIS, there is a free modding scene that adds SO MUCH content that you could play this game for 1000 + hours and still have fun

been playing it for about like... 200 or so hours and damn, im still playing it but with mods now
