Foggy Sunbury
The weather set the mood on my trip to the shop this morning as Sunbury was in the grip of a fog which refused to lift.
Chubb House
Barely visible in the first photo on the left is Chubb House, which in recent years had exterior work done and now appears more modern than many of the local buildings.
Shortcut over the aqueduct
Moss, litter, rust, and mud cover the rather industrial-looking farside of Sunbury Square Shopping Centre. Buildings like Chubb House remain (barely) visible through the fog.
Staines Reservoir Aqueduct
A little research suggests that this aqueduct was built in 1903 to feed local reservoirs, and is still in use.
Trees obscure the M3 motorway
Being an early Saturday morning, the only other inhabitants were a few gulls. The trip felt like a chapter out of Half-Life 2, so I thought I'd share the photos here.
