A lot of you might remember Disney's Toontown before it got shut down shortly before club penguin's demise, but for those of you who don't know, the premise is fairly simple.
You are a toon, a
furry precursor cartoon animal similar to the old disney cartoon characters like mickey mouse, donald duck, etc. You live in the wacky world of Toontown, life is great in your zany world, and you spend your days doing all sorts of fun activities such as:
- Racing
- Solving puzzles
- Jumping into portable holes
- Fishing
- Shopping
- Decorating
- Gardening
- Mini-Golfing
- Mazes
- Swimming
- Shooting yourself out of a cannon
- Owning a pet doodle
- and running errands for shopkeepers.
But not all is perfect in this world, it is currently undergoing a robotic invasion by the quasi corporation-government known as The Cogs. They seek to demolish toontown and make it a sprawling metropolis where fun and laughter is replaced with laws, industry, and politics. But all is not lost for the toons, cogs can't take a joke, literally! They explode! For whatever unknown reason, the cogs are extremely vulnerable to gags like squirting flowers, throwing pies, banana peels, etc. The cogs have been driven from the playgrounds, but still actively roam and patrol the streets where they occassionally take over happy toon buildings and turn them into ugly cog buildings. But armed with an arsenal of silly (and sometimes edible) weaponry the Toon Resistance (yes honest to gaben that's what they're called) are able to keep the cogs locked in a seemingly perpetual stalemate. The future for Toontown is uncertain, but one question remains, Are You Toon Enough?!
