the concept of welshness came in after invasions from both the dutch and english, following the departure of the romans, where castles where needed to be built to stop invasions of people who coined us as "foreigners" (welsh)

This is mostly concerning the Offa's Dyke and the construction of what could be the Welsh Identity with the influx of romano-british refugees and celts to that area. It created something beautiful in my opinion and it's results with stuff like the Arthurian Circle prove it.
