Lore

Viscerators, or Manhacks in slang, were initially created by the Combine to fill a simple purpose. An easy and cheap to reproduce drone to harass rebels hiding in the cramped tunnels below the city to flush them out into the open where protection teams would be waiting to meet them.

Standard Viscerator

Through the trial and error of human scientists in the early days of the occupation developed the early viscerator as a lightweight tool to aid forces on the field. Though their cheap production cost and lightweight came at the sacrifice of intelligence and durability. These viscerators were very straightforward and would need to be deployed in swarms to have good effectiveness though with the industrial capability of the Combine that was no issue.

Enhanced Viscerator

Later into the occupation it was noticed that ground teams often carried viscerators for additional backup due to their lightweight and relative ease of use. This prompted experimentation into an enhanced function of the viscerator that could be utilized by ground forces for more functions without requiring large numbers. With other developments further integrating Combine technology and that of humanity it didn't take too long for the first versions of the 'Enhanced Viscerator' to be created. Through more trial and error slowly a field-ready version of these enhanced viscerators came to be, though it did have to sacrifice some function of the standard viscerators. Ground teams started employing the enhanced viscerator in limited numbers soon after, limited due to the increased cost of the enhanced viscerators meaning that largely standard viscerators were still produced to a higher capacity.

Functions

Standard Viscerator Functions (NPC only/Lore)

Vision Capabilities
The Standard Viscerator was equipped with both an infrared sensor and an average full-colour spectrum camera to allow for more effective hunting of insurgent elements. These visual sensors allow it to distinguish organic targets from their surroundings with increased effectiveness.

High Speed Rotating Blades
The viscerator is equipped with three blades which rotate at high speed and serve a dual purpose. Those being the purpose of aerial mobility and assault. The blades themselves are designed to allow the viscerator to ram into hostile targets and injure them to such an extend that the viscerator itself is a deterrent to staying in place. However they also aid in the ability of the viscerator to move and hover in the air.

Enhanced Viscerator Functions

Vision Capabilities
Due to the lack of thermals for the scanner faction and them not being inherently present in the AirWatch addon, these enhanced versions sacrificed their thermal vision capabilities for their other functions. This means that if you as a player can see the person with your coloured vision the enhanced viscerator likely can as well. However, it is strongly encouraged to be reasonable in appropriate situations. An example would be missing an individual hiding in a very dark place

Holographic Projector
The Holographic Projector is capable of displaying 3-dimensional holographic images closely in front of the enhanced viscerator. These images are often displayed in a primary colouration of blue though the projector is capable of displaying different colours such as red or green and rarely has high details. You should primarily use this holographic projector to display things such as maps with red or green waypoints.

High Speed Rotating Blades
The viscerator is equipped with three blades which rotate at high speed and serve a dual purpose. Those being the purpose of aerial mobility and assault. The blades themselves are designed to allow the viscerator to ram into hostile targets and injure them to such an extent that the viscerator itself is a deterrent to staying in place. However, they also aid in the ability of the viscerator to move and hover in the air.

Radio Receiver
The Enhanced Viscerator is equipped with a radio receiver able to receive combine channels, this receiver is only capable of receiving information and not sending it out as the manhack has no transmitter to maintain it's original lightweight and compact design. This requires you to return to your team

Controls

W, A, S and D - Forwards, backwards, left and right strafing.
Jump [Spacebar] - Ascend
Sprint [Shift] - Descend
Walk [Alt] - Freelook
Primary Fire [Mouse1] - Activate/Open Blades
Secondary Fire [Mouse2] - Manual stalling
Reload [R] - Change light colours, red & green.

Rules

Lights indicate which side you are on, use red lights for combine or green lights for rebels.
Only deploy when deployed by ground teams or with proper authorization from faction leads. There may be up to two manhacks deployed at once on the field. They may also be within the same team.
Listen to orders given by ground protection teams, primarily the one who deployed you and otherwise the highest rank available.
You will complete given orders or requests to the best of your ability without question, the only exception is if the protection team you are attached to is dead in which case you will try to retreat to the nearest occupied Overwatch installation. If an order is complete or can't be completed properly return it to your protection team.
DO NOT use the datafile system or radio, you cannot communicate with anything or anyone else without returning and using a holographic display. This includes voice chats for anything but receiving information.
DO NOT use the holographic display to display text.
Currently, due to the lack of scripts or coded methods to allow normal players to control manhacks, you *require* either being staff/event team or staff/event team oversight when playing the manhack and in case of destruction remain inside the manhack and have yourself be teleported out to an appropriate zone by a staff member.
After hitting a player, you must close your blades and wait three seconds until you may attack with them open again. This is to prevent you from instantly killing a player if you get stuck between an object and the player.
Stick to a simple attack pattern, use your velocity as advantage. 'Aerial acrobatics' to dodge bullets are unserious and will result in a warning or Viscerator Specialism removal.
You are to fly within two to three characters height when idle and following your assigned team. This is rule may be ignored completely when you're scaling a building or when you're inside of a building already. If you are in S2K, you are to be around the same level as your target or team. The target has to be the closest threat or needs to be a direct order.

Name for dedicated manhack characters should be "AW:ENHC.VSCR-XX" with the XX being the same numbers as your scanner.
Deployment of an enhanced viscerator requires a team to simply request an autonomous viscerator.
You must interlock into the team that deployed you.
When shot down, remove the Airwatch manhack and drop two metal and use /waypointadd 4 ":: VISCERATOR LOST ::" 120 - Your manhack is completely destroyed when shot down, that means there is no salvageable parts left except the metal chunks.

Due changes for the new season, making the viscerator a viable option for usage in S2K combat. With the removal of the enhanced viscerator script, there will also be no special conditions for an enhanced viscerator to be used.

:: R E M O V E D ::
(Due to the lack of a script) deployment requires the viscerator script to be sacrificed by the deploying party, exception with Faction Lead authorization

:: A D D E D ::

As mentioned, I added these changes due to the deployment item restriction being lifted. Go ham. Be TPG.
